Where have you been?
Where have i been? Is a great question.
I missed you all!! So much has happen in these last 2 1/2 3 weeks and threw it all i have been thinking about all of you. I hope you missed me too! I have started school to further my already existing licence in Esthetics ( Skin Care) so that i can obtain the skills to work in a doctors office or hospital treating skin before and after surgical procedures. I am really excited about it. So now instead of having only 600 hours i now will have a total combined of 1700 hours not to mention my nail hours i have already obtain. So I”m excited. As i progress along i will keep you up to date all all the goings. My classmates seem nice. I am a bit more reserved in school because of my reasons for begin there which is to learn, but as time goes on i know it will all fall into place. I have had so much home work. We have a project due on the 22 of this month and this counts as a major part of our grade. We had to make a business plan as if were applying for a real loan to open our own spa,  as well as come up  with a name and a menu, radio  ad and a collage of things you are going to have in your spa. It’s been crazy! But it’s going to tone down. We are just about done with this topic which included resumes as well as interviewing. I know what you are thinking why do this now? Why not towards the end of class? That’s what i have been thinking too. I Would rather have this when i am about to graduate. So that’s why you haven’t heard from me, tyring to balance everything not only WhaTaDu but family time and school time. I have a great family that is supporting my decision to go back to school as well as a great employer.  I hope you are are just as understanding. The newsletter will be starting back this week and we are working on some great things to bring to you. Thank you for sticking with WhaTaDu.com and keep on staying in the Know!

Michael Jackson
I am truly a fan of Michael Jackson. When i found out he had passed i couldn’t believe it really! It didn’t seem real or even right. I had gotten several calls from friends about his death. I was like wow. 50 years old and still going strong, in the making of a concert and then gone. The word tells us that tomorrow isn’t promised to any of us. However, it was great to see the out pour of love from around the world that people had and still have for Michael. I just wish that he was able to see and hear how the world embraced him and loved him. There will never be another Michael! I don’t think any generation from here on will ever experience an artist such as Michael Jackson ever. When BET did their special i watched a few mins of it and turned. I thought it was the most unprofessional and stupid show i have ever seen. They didn’t have to rush into a tribute for Michael. They could have waited and really planned something special. To me they were not up to par by no means. Thank God in the name of Jesus for his memorial service that really showed love and respect for what Michael did and for who he was as as entertainer and as a person. I loved when Al told Michael kids that there was nothing strange about your dad, what was strange was what was happening around him. I was like that’s right because now as they grow up they are going to hear so many things about their dad both good and bad true and untrue and i hope that nothing sways them or trips them up about their dad in the name of Jesus. His daughter really started my tears flowing because i felt the hurt and love she had for her dad in those few words, which gave you an different perception of Michael that most never saw him as and that’s a Dad. So i loved it. His brother said well Michael maybe they will leave you alone now. They still have not left him alone, because now it’s going to be about what was in his home, what they found so forth and so on trying to figure out still who he was. I hope that his kids are blessed and will experience what it’s like to live somewhat of a normal life if that is what they choose and not pushed into anything they don’t want to do. I hope that everything that Michael wanted for his kids will be and everything he didn’t want won’t in the name of Jesus. Because that’s how i would want it to be if it were my kids.
So in closing people i just want to say give people their flowers while they are living because when they are dead and gone they can’t smell them.
Ladies Choice Wednesdays At The Ivy Ultra Bar
I had not been to ladies night for a while so i decided to go this past Wednesday. The last time i told you about this event i was like it was an ok crowd there. This time when we went it was off the chain. There were way more people than before. I was happy to see that. The people wanted to party that night. They had a great mix of people there as well which is always a 10 in my book. I love a well diverse crowd. Q45 was spinning hits from back in the day making you say ahhh shoot! they also did a soul train circle and some people got up and were working it out. There was this old guy there and he was doing his thing. Even tho he was older he said shoot i got this, it was a joy to see him cut a rug the way he was doing and just enjoying life, drunk or not. This time i didn’t order a Apple Martini my husband doesn’t know what he gave me the first time because he told the bartender to just surprise me. It was a good drink so much so  that i wanted to order another one. The second drink was a sex on the beach and it was good too. I wanted to order another after that but i didn’t because after 2 drinks with me i am sick. I just can’t drink more than 2. My husband was there on business so he wasn’t much fun so i got my dance on with myself and this guy that was in town for just one night. I had a whole lot of fun dancing withhim. He said he was from California  and he wanted me to show him how the 904 does it so i did but it was all in fun. That night  was by far one of the best nights there and i think it’s really jumping off with the people so if you have not been to the Ivy Ultra Bar Ladies Night please stop in you will have a ball. This Wednesday it’s Hip Hop Vs. Dance Hall you know it’s going to be off the meter. Now by this begin my birthday week i have to wear something a bit more out there, but classy of course. The dance hall ladies are going to be doing it up for real. One of the Summer Bunnies will be hosting this event. Log on to that event and get all the details. June 19th is the date. I have to put up the new flyer for that so check it out and i will see you there. Here are the Pictures. Again i had a fun night at The Ivy Bar and this time around i hope to snap your pic in the place to be on Wednesdays “The Ivy Ultra Bar”! Log onto the photogallery to view pictures.

Up Late
I am so looking forward to the weekend. There is so much going on and so much still to come. I am also excited about the Fast & Furious. I’am excited about WhaTaDu. God Is Good!! I am kinda disappointed about the weather it’s suppose to be a high 60 degrees, for me that’s cold. Plus I don’t want to take the kids out on the beach because they have just gotten over their colds. so what I think I am going to do is just take them to Adventure Landing and from there visit family and let the kids play and enjoy begin with their cousins. Then I will hit the beach to take care of business. Then get ready to head out to the Twisted Martini downtown and hit Mavericks.
Oh! guest what there is going to be a RIP THE RUNWAY type event soon! I was too excited when I saw that, because my husband and I talked about someone doing something like that and it’s so cool to see someone doing that here in Jacksonville.
Also, First Fridays-Remixed is doing an All White Party. Now I know what you are thinking. I didn’t like my last experience, but you know if its done right it can be off the hook! I already have expectations and I am hoping that it will not disappoint. So be on the look out for that. I am so looking forward to attending. I am going to post it next week for you all to check out. So if the event is anything like the flyer WOW! I Can’t wait. I would like to be the one working the crowd. I want to take interviews with you and what you are wearing. Rip the runway! Jacksonville! :) I will post it on the blog before the weekend is over. Well it’s late. I should have been in bed a long time ago with all that I have to do.Â
Good-Night and May God Bless you and yours. Peace…

Are You Serious!
OMG!
Let me start off with this First Friday!
I have never had a night like I had when I attend First Fridays. I went as a guest with someone. We were told to be there before 11pm because it was and is always crowded and after 11pm they wouldn’t be able to get us in, I guess due to begin busy. So we get there before 11pm and we are standing outside waiting to get into a place that we thought knew we were coming, have us on a list or something. After waiting for 30 minutes, you know I’m pissed but trying to be a good guest because I would have left after waiting 2 mins. I mean Damn, once again I thought they knew we were coming, but we can’t get in.
So as we are waiting I notice that the VIP line with Reservations was jam packed with people waiting to get in. People that took the time to get their tickets early and RSVP could not get in. Security was letting people that didn’t have tickets in before people that didn’t. Basically, letting in thier buddies and ladies they want to holla at. Friends that came together or came to hook up here were seperated. I saw and heard friends saying I’m trying to get you in and stuff like I don’t know what’s going on. It was crazy.
Just as quickly as people came they were leaving because the line was so long . The security officers were acting nuts and rude to those questioning why in the hell they couldn’t get into the club. People were pissed off, mad words were exchanged and people were disrespected for wanting to spend thier money. Not once did someone say to the line “we are at capacity” which they were over.
Inside it was wall to wall people, so much so people had to hang out in the lobby which means it was hard as hell to get a drink. The Staff were having disagreements amoung themselves in front of the patrons. The whole night sucked for a ton of people that paid money to come to this event and then have to wait for over an hour or more to get in and then once pass the bullshit have to go in and be packed like Sardines. Oh I need not forget to mention that Mr. John Henderson (former Jacksonville Jaguar) himself attend this event and he came out the club pissed off at how he was begin treated. WHAT? YES!
This was not an upscale event. This was not a fun night. People that had tickets were asking for their money back. I mean this was a joke. Then as the night came to an end they let the rest of the crowd come in for $20.00. By now the club is closing in an hour so it should have been free (just greedy). Please. The only reason why I stayed and was able to view and report all this was because my friend had business to take care of in the club. So for all thoes that came out to First Fridays and hung around in the weather as long as they did, I give mad props. I will say that there were some beautiful, handsome, sexy people out that night (I’m told its always sexy)! Too bad the night didn’t go as well as they looked.
So people, please don’t feel you have to deal with such things there are too many off the meter clubs to go to that you don’t have to stand in line for 2-3 hours to attend. All I am saying is, have some respect for your line. Let them know often what is going on so they aren’t under the impression that they can get in soon. Be curtious and respectful of peoples time and money. Let everyone in line know you are at capacity and can’t let anyone else in. Give them the option to leave or stay. Stop being so damn greedy trying to hold your line until you can charge them $20 for an hour of crowded partying.
Anyway, I had a wonderful time at Marks downtown. It was a nice mixed crowd. Everyone was having a great time dancing and mingling, plus the DJ had you on your feet all night playing a great mix hit after hit. The Apple Martinis were right. I did have one where old girl half assed it, but over all it was a fun night. I will be going back to Marks.
