World of Nations
I should have already posted this. None the less. the family and i attend the World of Nations. It was set up a bit differently this year, but still lively and exciting as ever. There was great food. I tried a fried pork Pattie which i didn’t really like to much. I also tried some great food in Poland. Their stuff cabbage and sausage was great. Everything i tried in Poland was good. In Africa i had mac-cheese and corn bread and sweet potato pie. yum! I had some wonderful strawberries as well. I didn’t pick up any sugarcane this year, i over looked it. I don’t think i will go next year not because it wasn’t fun but we do it every year and i think i am a bit bored with it. There are great items to buy there, good music and such but i think i am just bored with it. If i do go i will go the first day and then call done. So here are some pictures. Now i had better ones but my husband didn’t know what he was doing and deleted them. So here is what we have.

This is the crew of Hurricane Grille. Let me say i came out looking for the hottest wings and Lord knows they stepped up to the plate. I asked for their Hottest wings and Lord knows i got it and then some! I met a very nice family and offered them one of my Hot wings and we both had runny noses, Numb mouths, and watery eyes and mouths that stay blazed for a while. Damn! those wings were hot. Hurricane Grille without a doubt won hands down for the Hottest Damn Wings in Jacksonville. Now if you know another wing hot spot that may be just as hot if not hotter let me know! I am always up for a challenge. Congrats Hurrican Grille!

I need not tell you who these lovely ladies are. The Hooter Girls. What is a Wing Fest without Hooters, and as always their wings were Great!

Event Wrap Up: Yappy Hour
| Let me start off by saying I had a fabulous time at Yappy Hour. The people were great and the dogs even greater. There were so many dogs it was bananas. Anyone that is an animal lover would have loved this event, kids and adults alike. Yappy Hour brought to mind Go, Dog. Go! by P.D. Eastman. In this book towards the end of the story all these dogs are going fast in there cars, and the question is what are they going to do? Where are those dogs going? A dog party a big dog party! Big dogs, little dogs, red dogs, blue dogs, yellow dogs, green dogs , black dogs, and white dogs are all at a dog party! What a dog party! And that’s what it was at the Jacksonville Landing. | |

I met some pretty cool people and their pets. Carole and Kibbi were one of the first I had the pleasure of meeting at this awesome event. Carole works with the Akita Rescue Society of Florida and she has 3 of these big beautiful dogs in her home. Check out Kibbi! This pic really does not do Kibby any justice. Kibby is huge! |

This is C.L Enuton and she was there with Augie and Xia. She is the author of a real cool book named “Angels in a Fur Coat”. The book is about doggies having to earn their coats in heaven and then they come down to find the perfect owner. I think it will give you a different perspective on dog ownership. To learn more about this great book, you can check out her web site and her cute videos at Gooberella.com. |
